No War

I want to scream it into the face of everyone at the moment.

Although I don't want to go into details here, those of you who know what happened maybe can understand. My brother has made all his own decisions, and now it seems people have mistook them for my or my family's decisions.

I'm a lovely nice person, and I like it when people are comfortable around me and we are friends.

But I am sick to death of being someone else's sister - who chose to go to war. I'm sick to death of talking about 'old war tales' with people I hardly know. And I'm sick to death of the future of this country, even though the future hasn't even arrived. Sick to death of it.

Without mum and dad being here - I am the family. I am the brave face and the voice and the understanding. And that's why I've been sick, that's why I had a cold sore and couldn't make out with my boyfriend; I have too much responsibility.

It's been good being sick though, being away from work, watching buffy (series 7), watching buffy with the commentary. something i haven't done before!

Anyways, I'm sorry to be a grumpy guts but I just want to yell somewhere that's not in the backyard (grandma will hear), and i don't think i can yell into the phone at the defence force because it's not there fault.

Election Day - what a drag

Oh well, at least it's a chance to be part of a democracy - even it's only ONE day every three-four years. Now what I'm hanging for is to see how many Greens get into the Senate - woopee!!!

At the moment I'm reading through Ms Fits blog to check out what she's thinking about the last week of the campaign. Her taxi driver survey seems pretty good - let's see though. It's past six so, you buggers who forgot/too busy/lazy have lost the power completely. Damn Damn Damn. The Herald Sun says "Too Close to Call" and The Age says "Howard for another few years". Damn Damn Damn.

V-man is asleep downstairs and M&D are hanging and cooking. I'm getting hungry and should sit down to watch how Tasmania is voting so far - their polls closed an hour ago. Darling V-man drove down to see me today, worked his arse off at work earlier today. I'm hungover and tried very hard to tell Daniel NOT to vote Nationals when we headed in today to vote - what a funny mix we were - Daniel, Ned and Meals (me of course) - If only one in three people voted coalition things might turn out ok. According to both major political parties their leaders won the big debate last night.

The best quote I heard on the radio this morning (apart from the 'boring' line in today's australian) was our 18 year old political commentator saying he almost fell asleep. And this guy LOVES his politics, especially public speaking.

Once again dreaming I'm somewhere overseas, writing how Ms Fits (i put a link up on the right hand nav!) does (hilarious, especially now that we have an election on) and being warm warm warm warm. I thought that springtime was pleasant here. Somehow I forgot.

Anyways, I've been busy this week getting back into work from being away. I really had a great time overseas, catching all my besties who have fled this awful country. Everyone was great and I wish I could have stayed longer. I could have stayed much longer because I after I arrived I correctly checked my bank account balance and it looked hardly touched. What was I thinking? Vincent said he wouldn't have come back with a cent. And it's the truth!

So. We have such a horrid country here at the moment that in Jakarta just today there was a bomb outside the Australian Embassy. The news reports are still counting the victims and injured. I can't even imagine how John Howard will use this to his advantage in the polls. But all I do know is that Mark Latham has been in Bundaberg with a room full of whingers all with 'cries for help''cries for help'. At least they liked him there. I'd watch out for that free gift (a bottle of wine) if I were him.

If we were to work overseas I'm studying the kinds of visa and working permits we could get.

Seeing as V-man and I are different ages, I'll have to juggle around what countries we can actually go to.

A copy of an email i just wrote to v-man.

Hi the keyboard changes without notice to hiragana and katakana so i:m sorry baby, i can:t seem to write how i feel,
i:m too busy watching the words.
anyways, i love you heaps and wish you were here with me to give me cuddles. even though it:s 37 degrees today.

i:ll give you a quick run down on what we did - and hope that the keyboard keeps writing english.

friday - in flight entertainment was shrek 2, walking tall or standing tall (totally shit), hell boy and the day after tomorrow.

i:m not sure about hellboy baby - but ron perlman was great and totally cute with a red face.

we had good food - vegie is a great option and i read a book i bought.

saturday - we went to tokyo, busy city. it was pretty good all round. we went to shibuya, then daikinyama for shopping and lunch and we all bought awesome things.
then we went to shinjuku and drank at a bar that was so stylish - five bucks cover to sit and we could only sit for two hours max. we then had to pay for drinks on top of that. but the service was excellent and the toilets were to die for . you didn:t need to touch anything. handsfree flush and running water. and there was ear cleaners in the bathrooms too.

we met cinderella from tokyo disney there too and she was hilarious.

angus came and met us (us is phil sal and amelia ^ when you order stuff you say mitza meaning three) as well as a funny english gay boy friends of sal:s who is meaning three) as well as a funny english gay boy friends of sal:s who is also an english teacher. we went to this pub type restuarant were you can smoke and drink and eat fatty jap food. it:s called an issakaiya we got drunk and went home eat fatty jap food. it:s called an issakaiya we got drunk and went home.

sunday - we woke up (late ten - or eleven everyday here) and went to tokyo harbour:s suburb called Odaiba - and shopped and ate great food and shopped some more and went on the biggest ferris wheel in the world. i bought a cheap nintendo game boy from one of the electric town suburbs in tokyo too. WOW!

monday - woke up went to tobu super pool all afternoon. it was lovely and cold and i got my feet wet. my feet got really big on the plane - like i:m preggers or something and have been horrid every day. sore as hell as sally would say. it:s terrible - but oh well. i should have trained to be a tourist really. i think it:s just the heat. atsui desu ne. hot isn:t it.... we saw the cutest little boy in the world say that to his mum at the pool - he was gorgeous. i want to take all the kids home for you to see - so cute. OH, after pool we went shopping and went to pub restarant here in omiya - sal and phil:s town -and then sang karaoke. i sang roy orbison:s crying really well and robbie for you

tuesday - woke up and went to yokohama (harbour city south of tokyo) becase that:s were angus lives. i went by my self tooooooo! yippee! we had a great time shopping and thank you for my 20, 000 yen because i bought a great jacket - one that actually fits and some JEANZU - some gorgeous jeans!!!! yippee, you are such a gorgeous boy. how sneaky of you to get that money.

we looked around the harbour and drank some beer and shopped some more.

then i met my japanese friend akiko yesterday in tokyo and we shopped... i called chisato too - no reply but i let a message on her phone....
i better go now because my hour is getting thin and i:ll totally write properly in london, because i:ts taken me ages to figure out the keyboard.

When I caught up with the O.S. crew the other night Sally and Phil suggested a few things to bring over that would help them out big time. Phil really likes this kind of hair product, American Crew, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere - Lucky for Victoria Gardens near Vincent's house. There is a big long list of retailers there in case we need it next time.

There are just so many fun places to go in Tokyo - I've just found the Metropolis Visitors Guide to Tokyo and what about this:
